The state health department reported 23 new patients of Covid-19 in Uttarakhand on Thursday. Death of one patient from the disease was also reported at Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun on the day.
The authorities also declared 62 patients cured on the day. The department has so far detected 91,740 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 87,858 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 271 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.77 per cent on Thursday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.41 per cent on the day.
The health department reported nine new patients each from Dehradun and Haridwar districts and two patients each from Uttarkashi and Tehri on Thursday. One patient was reported from Almora on the day.
No new patients were found in the Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Nainital, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar districts on Thursday.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 404. Dehradun with 177 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 52 active cases of the disease. Tehri is at the bottom of the table with three active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 8,028 people were vaccinated in 706 sessions in the state held on Thursday.
