141 new cases of Covid-19 surface in U’khand

 The State Health department reported 141 new cases of the Covid-19 in Uttarakhand on Thursday. A day earlier the department had reported 147 new cases of the disease. The State now has 348 active cases of the disease.

  The authorities reported 64 new cases of Covid-19 from Dehradun on Thursday.  The department found 21 new cases of the disease in Nainital, 12 in Udham Singh Nagar, 10 on Pauri, nine in Haridwar, seven each in Almora and Champawat, six in Bageshwar, two each in Chamoli and Pithoragarh on Thursday.

 No new cases of the disease were reported from Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts on the day.  The authorities declared 158 patients recovered from the disease on Thursday.  The department has so far detected 1697 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year in the State. A total 1339 patients have recovered from the disease so far. A total of ten patients have lost their lives from the disease from January 1 this year in the state.  

The State now has 348 active patients of Covid-19 with Nainital leading the table with 87 active cases of the disease followed by Dehradun  which has 78 active cases of the disease.
