The Higher Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said that the land will be provided to new colleges soon for construction of buildings. The minister presided over a meeting with the officers of the department on Thursday in which some district magistrates, ADMs and principals of the new colleges took part in a virtual manner. He said that the State government has decided to set up one college in every block of the state for giving a boost to higher education. He said that land for many new colleges has been provided but for some it has not been done. Rawat said that land for government college Khadi (Tehri), Mori ( Uttarkashi), Ramgarh ( Nainital), Dehradun city, Bhopatwala ( Haridwar), Nanakmatta ( Udham Singh Nagar) and government college Haldwani city will be provided soon.
