Warning issued, cold day conditions likely in two districts today

The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding dense fog likely to occur in some parts of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts and cold day conditions are likely to occur at isolated places in these two districts on Friday. Ground frost is likely to occur at isolated places in the mountainous regions of the State today.

After light rain and snowfall in some mountainous regions of the State on Wednesday, dry conditions prevailed in the State on Thursday. The State meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts of the State on Friday. Further, moderate fog is likely to occur in some parts of the plains of Pauri and Nainital districts during the night/morning hours.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and five degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday were 22.6 degrees Celsius and 5.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 11.2 degrees Celsius and 8.8 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 13 degrees Celsius and 1.5 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 14.4 degrees Celsius and 2.1 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
