Villagers discuss preparations for Chalda Maharaj Yatra

To review the preparations of approaching Chalda Maharaj Yatra which is due in November in this region after a gap of 66 years, the people of Samalta village organised a meeting on Sunday in the presence of the Pradhan of the Gram Panchayat, Jaipal Singh.

In the meeting, many villagers said that they will donate ration worth over Rs 20 lakh for over 50,000 devotees who would be participating in the Yatra. According to the president of Shri Chalda Mahasu Maharaj Mandir Samiti, Sardar Singh Tomar, various committees have been formed to ensure the proper arrangements during the Yatra.

Apart from this, the proper construction of roads and installation of solar lights in the village before the month of November was also proposed in the meeting.

Moreover, the deputy director of the Information and Public Relations Department, Kalam Singh Chauhan stated that Chalda Maharaj Yatra would happen in the village after 66 years and everyone should work together to make it a successful event for all the devotees.
