UVSP declares Class X & XII results

The Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) released the results of the class X and XII exams on Tuesday. In class X, 89.14 per cent of the students cleared the exam, with a passing percentage of 85.59 per cent for boys and 92.54 per cent for girls. Similarly, in class XII, 82.63 per cent of the students cleared the exam, with a passing percentage of 85.96 per cent for girls and 78.97 per cent for boys. The board chairman and director of Education (secondary), Mahavir Singh Bisht officially declared the exam results at the Uttarakhand board’s headquarters in Ramnagar.

Informing on the toppers’ list, he informed that a student from Gangolihat in Pithoragarh district, Priyanshi Rawat made history by securing 100 per cent marks in the class X examination. Along with this, Piyush Kholia who is a student in Almora secured the first rank in class XII exams with a score of 97.60 per cent. Providing the information, the additional secretary of UVSP Vinod Simlati informed that a total of 6,90,564 high school students and 4,47,596 intermediate students have completed their examinations under UVSP. Further, 3,674 teachers had been assigned to evaluate the answer sheets of the board examination. The evaluation of answer sheets started on March 27 and ended on April 10 in the 29 centres; 16 in the Garhwal region and 13 in the Kumaon region.

Notably, the overall result of intermediate was 1.65 per cent more than last year and the result of high school was 3.97 per cent more than last year. However, in the past five years, the best examination result was in the year 2021 (during the Covid pandemic period), when 99.09 per cent of students in class X and 99.56 per cent of students in class XII examinations were declared passed.
