Union secretary, Panchayati Raj arrives in Doon

Would discuss and review Swamitva Yojana and other schemes of the dept

Union Panchayati Raj Secretary Sunil Kumar arrived in Dehradun for a three day visit on Wednesday. The officer would interact with the senior officials on various aspects of Panchayati raj in Dehradun.

The secretary, Panchayati Raj, Uttarakhand, H C Semwal disclosed that the union secretary would meet the Surveyor General of India on Thursday and discuss implementation of ‘Swamitva Yojana’. He would also meet the chief secretary of Uttarakhand Om Prakash and discuss various issues. Semwal informed that the union secretary would hold a meeting with officers of Survey of India, Revenue board and Panchayati Raj to review the progress of Swamitva Yojana. Later in the day he would hold meetings with officials of Panchayati Raj department and review the progress of Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan and Central finance commission and other programmes. He would also hold discussion with the Panchayati raj representatives

On Friday he would visit Jeevanwala Panchayat of Doiwala in Dehradun and visit villages of Bhadarbad in Haridwar and monitor the implementation of Swamitva Yojana.
