State striving to make every district a Viksit district: Dhami

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took out a roadshow in Dehradun on Thursday. The road- show of the CM ended at Bannu School ground where it culminated in a Nari Shakti Vandan programme. The CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 600 projects worth Rs 1,055.57 crore on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Dhami said that the State government is not only operating  welfare and development schemes for women but also ensuring that every department prepares plans where the interests of women are kept at the center. The State government is working diligently to make every district a Viksit district.  He said that 23 crore women have been linked with banks by Jan Dhan accounts under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The CM said the commitment of the State government can be gauged by the speed with which it acted to provide 30 per cent reservation to women in government jobs. He said PM Modi has given benefit of every scheme to 140 crore citizens and the entire country is his family.

He said that Modi’s guarantee is not a formula to win elections but the faith of the poor.

The CM said that the State government is committed to make Uttarakhand the best State of the country. He said the ongoing women safety week programmes will help in fulfilling the commitment of making a strong state.

Tehri MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah said that both Union and State governments are working for the welfare of women.

Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, cabinet minister Prem Chand Agarwal, MLAs Khajan Das, Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’, Sahdev Singh Pundir, Savita Kapur, Brijbhusan Gairola and others

attended the programme.
