Satisfied with developments achieved in past 4 years: Ex-CM

On Thursday when the BJP State government completed four years in office, former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that he is satisfied with the historic development works done during the period. He had headed a government with honesty, transparency and without corruption, said Rawat.

The former CM who had resigned from his post on March 9, nine days before completion of four years in office said that the works done during his tenure were historic. He cited road construction, work in health sector, Atal Ayushman Yojana, scheme for providing water connection at Re one per connection to poor people, granting co-ownership to women in the ancestral property of their husbands and the CM Ghasyari scheme as historic developmental works. He also recalled the decision to make Gairsain the summer capital of the state, adding that a roadmap had been made for development of Gairsain and work had been started on the scheme to spend Rs 25,000 crore in 10 years on development of the region.

Rawat also said that formation of the Devasthanam Board was the most reformative decision in 20 years of the state’s existence. The board was formed in order to ensure adequate facilities for the large number of devotees who arrive here on pilgrimage. He further said that he took pride in providing corruption-free governance during his nearly four year tenure. The former CM also pointed at other developments like e-cabinet, e-office, CM dashboard, CM helpline 1905, Right to Service and the Transfer Act which facilitated the transparency needed to achieve a qualitative change in the government’s functioning. Recalling the investors summit, he said that the grounding of investments worth Rs 40,000 crore had been achieved. During the past four years, the state government had succeeded in establishing the state’s identity at the national level.
