Rs 3.6 cr transferred to beneficiaries under MVY

The State women empowerment and child development minister Rekha Arya transferred a sum of Rs 3. 64 crore to 6062 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana (MVY) for the month of November, on Thursday.

Stating this, she said that the scheme provides Rs 3,000 per month to the beneficiaries and the funds are transferred directly into their accounts. “For   November 2023, a total of Rs. 363.09 lakhs was transferred to 6062 beneficiaries, while for December 2023, funds under the welfare scheme will be transferred to 6041 beneficiaries,” she said and added that the State government helmed by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is committed to supporting disadvantaged individuals and families while giving them succour as much as possible in their troubled times.

Notably, the Uttarakhand government launched the Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana to provide support to the children affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, especially those who lost parents to the deadly disease.
