Recovery rate shows 13% increase in a fortnight

In what can be termed as good news for the Covid-19 contagion hit Uttarakhand, the recovery rate in the last 15 days has witnessed an increment of 13 percent. On September 13, the recovery rate was 66 percent which now has increased to 79 percent. Tehri and Udham Singh Nagar districts lead the table of recovery rate with a percentage of 86 percent each. In Udham Singh Nagar 7118 patients out of total 8317 reported have recovered while in the mountainous district of Tehri 1896 patients out of 2203 have recovered. Bageshwar and Haridwar have a recovery percentage of 81 while Nainital has 77 percent recovery rate. Dehradun with a recovery rate of 72 percent is at 10th spot in the table. Here 9147 patients out of 12693 have recovered from the disease. With a recovery rate of only 60 percent Pauri district has the worst recovery in the state. 

 Provisional state capital Dehradun which is reeling under the onslaught of the disease has reported 12693 patients of Covid-19 which is highest in the state.  Incidentally 49 percent of total fatalities in the state have occurred in Dehradun district alone. Here 285 patients have succumbed to the disease so far. At 12.68 percent, the Infection Rate too is highest in Uttarakhand. The overall IR in the state is at 7.12 percent.
