State completes one year of using e-office system

Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has also started the disposal of files through the e-office system. On Thursday, the CM disposed four files using the e-office system at the secretariat. These files included the ones related to the CM’s announcement regarding martyrs memorial to be built in Dehradun, construction of community wedding hall in Khairasain, establishment of fire unit in Tyuni and a file related to doctors in the health department. It will be recalled that the e-office system was started in Uttarakhand on January 21, 2020. During the one year period since then a total of 4,621 files were disposed through this system. On this Thursday alone, 26 files were disposed through the e-office system.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that use of the e-office system will ensure an answerable, effective and transparency system in the works of the secretariat. This will bring about an improvement in the pace of file disposal and facilitate an improvement in the work management. The use of the e-office system will also enable effective review at the higher level. Further, with important issues being online, the pace of work will improve along with transparency, added Rawat.
