About 300 complaints daily through Swachhata-MoHUA app
Gearing up for the approaching inspection of Swacch Survekshan 2021 while asking locals to register their complaints about sanitation related issues in the city through Swachhata-MoHUA app, the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) has been receiving about 300 complaints every day. As informed by the municipal health inspector Pushpa Rauthan, the corporation receives different kinds of complaints on a daily basis including drainage issues, roadside garbage dumping, unclean public toilets and disposal of dead animals.
The MCD receives from 200 to 300 complaints daily and so far, the corporation has received over 14,000 sanitation related complaints through Swachhata-MoHUA app, said Rauthan. She further added that the corporation resolves most of the matters within 24 hours to 36 hours but sometimes, some complaints might take a bit longer to get resolved. However, Rauthan pointed out that the complaint is marked as resolved in the app as soon as the MCD resolves the matter. Moreover, the officials informed that the regular complaints help to improve sanitation facilities in the city besides increasing the possibility of getting a higher position in Swacch Survekshan 2021. They appealed to locals to register complaints through the app with photographs and videos for the immediate redressal of sanitation related issues in the city.
