Only 33 new Covid-19 cases in U’khand on Tuesday

The active case count of the disease comes down at 473

The state health department reported only 33 new patients of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. Death of no patient from the disease was reported on the day.

 The authorities also declared 42 patients cured on the day.  The department has so far detected 91,694 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 87,746 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 269 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.69 per cent on Tuesday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.48 per cent on the day.  

  The health department reported 14 new patients from Dehradun, seven from Haridwar, five from Nainital and two each from Almora and Pauri districts on Tuesday. One patient each was found at Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar districts on the day.  No new patients were found in the Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts on Tuesday. 

The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 473.  Dehradun with 220 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 57 active cases of the disease. Tehri is at the bottom of the table with three active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 11,762 people were vaccinated in 786 sessions in the state held on Tuesday.
