BJP national president holds meetings with ministers & core committee on last day of State tour

On the concluding day of his four-day tour of Uttarakhand, the Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda asked the ministers to tour the districts they are in-charge of. The ministers in coordination with party office bearers will raise awareness on various important government schemes, interact with locals and party workers, dine with them and also spend a night in the district. After a period of 20 days, they will provide their feedback which will be discussed in the meeting of the party’s core committee to be held on December 26. The feedback will be sent to Nadda.

On Monday, the BJP national president held meetings with the ministers and the core committee of the party in Uttarakhand. Speaking about the meetings, the BJP state president Banshidhar Bhagat said that Nadda has asked the ministers in-charge of districts to undertake tours of their respective districts. “In the core committee meeting, the ministers were asked to tour the district they are in-charge of. They will interact with party workers and locals raising awareness on important schemes of the Central and State governments. They will also show a film made on the important government schemes. Further, they will dine with party workers and spend the night in the district. The ministers will be accompanied by office bearers of the party during their district tour. I myself will accompany the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on his tour. After the touring, the feedback will be discussed in the next core committee meeting which will be held on December 26,” said Bhagat.

On whether the issue of cabinet expansion was discussed in the meeting of the core committee, he said that no discussion was held on the subject of cabinet expansion though the possibility of the cabinet expansion cannot be negated. He reiterated that this is a matter depending on the discretion of the chief minister.

Speaking about the impact of Nadda’s tour of Uttarakhand, the BJP state president said that the four-day Uttarakhand tour was very successful. He said, “The party workers were enthused that the national president began his nation-wide tour with Uttarakhand. During his four-day tour, he held meetings in about 13 sessions. A historic aspect of his visit was that he also attended a booth committee meeting. During the core committee meeting, various works were divided among members and it was decided that a roadmap of activities till September will also be prepared. Our national president’s visit has acted like a Sanjeevani for the 2022 elections,” said Bhagat.
