The State urban development minister Prem Chand Agarwal expressed his displeasure with the slow pace of work involving the Smart City project while taking a review meeting. He asked the officials concerned to complete the work before the onset of monsoon. He further said that if required, the work should continue in night hours as it is difficult to work in day due to the traffic. He stressed that the quality of the work should not be compromised and said that it would be monitored from time to time.
He informed that the works on water supply, façade, sewerage and drainage are now in the final stage and work on the green building has been going on speedily after the foundation laying was done. He further said that the works on library and beautification of Parade Ground have been completed.
The minister said the people are facing problems with roads being dug up at several places. He strictly ordered the officers to have the project completed before the rainy season comes.
