Providing further relaxations in the ongoing Covid-curfew, the state government has allowed the markets to open today and on June 11 and 14 from 8 AM to 5 PM. However, all cinema halls, shopping malls, gymnasiums, sports institutes, stadia, sports grounds, swimming pools, entertainment parks and bars will remain closed till further orders. On June 12 and 13 (Saturday and Sunday) the urban local bodies will sanitise all public places, residential areas, markets, bus station, railway station and crowded places. In addition to this, the inter-state movement of public transport shall continue to operate with 100 per cent occupancy subject to SOPs issued by the state transport department. The other restrictions and relaxations ordered earlier will remain unchanged.

It is pertinent to mention here that chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat reviewed the Covid situation in Uttarakhand after returning from Delhi on Tuesday. The decision to open the markets from 8 AM to 5 PM on three days during the Covid-curfew was taken in the review meeting after which the chief secretary Om Prakash issued the fresh SOPs.
