The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) has received a complaint from a man that some men have attacked and tried to sexually assault his 14 years old son. The father who belongs to Udham Singh Nagar district said in his complaint that a few days ago, 10 to 12 men entered his house and attacked his son. He further alleged that one day when his son was playing in a nearby park, all the accused forcibly took him into a corner of the park and tried to sexually assault him. When they could not control his son, they thrashed him and threatened him not to tell about the incident or they would kill him and his family, said the father in the letter. Taking cognisance of the complaint, the chairperson of SCPCR Usha Negi has directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the U S Nagar district to investigate the matter and submit the report in commission within 10 days.
