The monsoon withdrew from the entire Uttarakhand on October 6. However, light rain and thunderstorms are forecast in parts of nine districts on Monday. The State meteorological centre has forecast very light to light rain /thunderstorms likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts. Dry weather will prevail in the remaining districts of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly cloudy skies with thundercloud development/very light to light rain likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Monday. Meanwhile the minimum temperature has continued to drop by a notch or two in various parts of the State. This is resulting in cooler conditions during the early morning and the night. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Sunday were 33 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 33 degrees Celsius and 21.1 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 24.4 degrees Celsius and 10.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24.2 degrees Celsius and 16.8 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
