In latest Uttarakhand news, while participating in the lecture series themed on Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam as the underlying idea behind G-20 at the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV), the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said that with Atma and Paramatma existing everywhere, all kinds of diversity prevailing in the world are related in the Soul. “We should live not as slaves to self-interest but for the entire humanity. Environment and nature being our mother, these should not be exploited,” he said. He expounded the theme of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam from different angles and averred that India has been ascending for the welfare of the entire humanity. “We should realise this truth deeply within ourselves because this explains why India as a nation has remained immortal through the vicissitudes of its history.   Unity in diversity being the fulcrum on which the nation’s cultural identity is based, the lofty concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam would be truly fulfilled in life only when we transcend our creedal and caste identities and feel ourselves deeply as human beings,” the RSS chief said.  Dwelling on dharma as conceptualised by India, he said that it connotes the moral principles that hold life, sustain life.
