IG and SSP check security arrangements ahead of Assembly session

The inspector general of Garhwal range Karan Singh Nagnyal along with Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh took stock of the security arrangements inside and outside the Vidhan Sabha building and various duty points in the city ahead of the Assembly session scheduled to commence from Monday.

They also conducted a brief with all the police personnel deployed on duty. Informing about police personnel deployed on duty for the Vidhan Sabha session, the SSP said that the department has deployed six additional superintendents of police, 14 deputy superintendents of police, 20 police station in- charges, 117 sub inspectors and additional sub inspectors, 24 female inspectors and sub inspectors, 88 chief constables, 219 constables, 55 female constables, two companies and two sections of PAC, two quick response teams and five armed police guards.

He asked all personnel to carry out their duties diligently while staying calm and restrained. People protesting on roads or those who can disturb law and order should not be allowed to pass the barriers installed as per traffic plans.
