Due to the prevailing inclement weather in Uttarakhand, the helicopter services remained suspended on Monday. Several trips were cancelled due to the incessant rainfall in various parts of the state. Besides this, the trips of over 700 pilgrims who had booked chopper services online under Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) for Char Dham Yatra were either cancelled or postponed due to the bad weather conditions as per the official sources. Ankit Dubey from Heritage Aviation Private Limited informed that the business of aviation companies is already affected due to the Covid-19 restrictions and such weather will cause more loss to them. He said that the chopper services will remain suspended on Tuesday too considering the warning of the state meteorological centre. However, the GMVN officials informed that the chopper services will be resumed even if the weather gets better for a few hours on Tuesday while considering the safety of passengers.
