Implement Haldwani women’s helpdesk model in other districts too: DGP

The director general of police Ashok Kumar directed the officials to implement the centralised model of women’s helpdesk of Haldwani Kotwali in other districts as well.

Conducting annual inspection of Haldwani Kotwali on Friday, he also announced a reward for the team of the women’s helpdesk, women’s helpline and police station office, including the Kotwali inspector-in-charge. He also directed the officials to utilise Bal Mitra Thanas as creche too. He also directed them to appoint a head constable in-charge of Cheetah police. The DGP assured the police personnel of action on the pending applications for allotment of houses in the Kotwali premises. He also directed the officials to inform the police headquarters about the long-term status of the functioning CCTV cameras installed in the police station. He instructed to open cases of history sheeters of the city too. He said that the number of pending cases is more and should be disposed of as soon as possible. He also instructed the superintendent of police (Crime) to review the cases of vehicle theft and those registered under IPC section 304 and send its report to the DGP.
