IIM Kashipur & Max Healthcare ink MoU to launch hospital management programme

 Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur and Max Healthcare Limited signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the former’s campus to launch a PG Diploma programme in Hospital Management meant to address the mounting demand for trained manpower for the healthcare sector. On this occasion, director, IIM Kashipur Kulbhooshan Balooni and senior director-HR, Max Health Care Ltd Umesh Gupta signed the MoU.

Both the institutes said that the nine-month-long post- graduate programme in hospital management would cater exclusively to executives and managers looking to develop and enhance their expertise in the arena of hospital operations. They have also decided to conduct joint research, seminars and other academic collaborations.

Speaking on this occasion, thedean (Development), IIM KashipurKunal Ganguly said that this collaboration would prove a milestone for his institute to diversify its education in offering and contributing to the healthcare sector and added that the first programme would be launched by the end of this year at IIM Kashipur where the classes would be taken by faculty from both IIM Kashipur and Max Healthcare along with the provision of hands-on training at the Max hospitals.

Umesh Gupta said after the MoU was signed that they have crafted a blended programme to respond to the rapid growth of the healthcare industry and increasing demand for skilled operations managers in hospitals. “This programme integrates live lectures delivered by faculty from IIM Kashipur with insights from senior management at Max Healthcare and cutting-edge e-learning content. This unique blend of knowledge and digital tools and techniques, combined with hands-on experience to be gained at Max Healthcare, is set to equip the participants with a comprehensive skill set,” he said.
