The Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) has achieved 100 per cent revenue collection in the months of May and June, its managing director Anil Kumar said. Congratulating all the employees working in the regional units for their contribution to this achievement, Kumar stated that in June 2024, UPCL secured a revenue collection of Rs 851 crore, surpassing the target of Rs 833 crore. He expressed confidence in UPCL’s ability to maintain this performance in the future.

To sustain this level of revenue, Kumar has instructed the employees in all the regional units to launch a special campaign targeting consumers who require an increase in electricity load. Additionally, he directed them to issue notices to all connections with outstanding amounts and to recover previous dues promptly. Further, UPCL employees are required to ensure the proper recovery of revenue. In an effort to increase the use of online services, Kumar emphasised the need to boost revenue collection through online platforms. Employees must also establish better communication with consumers and ensure timely delivery of bills via SMS, he added.
