The Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ inspected the ongoing construction works under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) in the Kaulagarh area on Wednesday.
Along with the officials of Peyjal Nigam, ‘Gama’ also inspected the sewage treatment plant of the minimal liquid discharge (MLD) system. The officials informed the mayor that completion of this treatment plant which is being constructed with a budget of Rs seven crore will considerably minimise waterlogging in the nearby areas during monsoon.
They said that the plant will be ready by March next year. ‘Gama’ asked the officials to complete the work as soon as possible to avoid any inconvenience to locals.
