Uttarakhand’s eminent folk singer Ramesh Babu Goswami has been bestowed with the Kumaon Ratna 2022 by the former chief minister Harish Rawat at a felicitation ceremony. Notably, he has been carrying with his father’s musical legacy. His father Gopal Babu Goswami was known as sur samrat and had given a new identity to Uttarakhand with his songs. On being honoured, Ramesh Babu Goswami expressed his gratitude, saying that it has come as a great inspiration for him.
