Dhami launches development works worth Rs 260 crore in Vikasnagar

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that a bus station and parking will be built in Vikasnagar. He made this announcement after launching development works worth Rs 260 crore in the Vikasnagar assembly constituency on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhami said that the development journey of Uttarakhand is progressing consistently under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Central government schemes and projects worth more than Rs one lakh crore are currently being undertaken in the state. Stating that more than 500 decisions had been taken in public interest since he assumed charge as the chief minister, Dhami said that the decision to start recruitments to vacant posts in government departments was taken in the first cabinet meeting. Giving details of the various decisions and steps taken by the state government, he said that schemes are being undertaken considering every section of society. Stating that effort had been made to provide relief to all sections during the Covid pandemic, Dhami said that while a Rs 200 crore relief package was provided to those connected with the tourism and transport sectors, a Rs 205 crore relief package was provided for the health sector.

Union Agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that development works had been executed at a swift pace by the double-engine government in Uttarakhand. He also appreciated the various public interest works executed under the leadership of chief minister Dhami. The local MLA Munna Singh Chauhan also expressed his views on the occasion.
