Covid-19 tally mounts to 69693 in U’khand

Six deaths, 386 fresh cases reported on Thursday

The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand mounted to 69693 on Thursday with the state health department reporting 386 fresh cases of the disease. The department also reported deaths of six patients of Covid-19 on the day which increased the death toll to 1133 in the state. The authorities discharged 388 patients from different hospitals on the day following their recovery from the disease. A total of 63808 patients have so far recovered from the disease and the recovery percentage is at 91.56 percent.

Two patients of the disease were reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital Dehradun on Thursday. Similarly two patients expired at Sushila Tiwari government hospital, Haldwani on the day. One patient of the disease was reported dead at HNB base hospital Srinagar and Military hospital, Pithoragarh on Thursday.

The health department reported 137 patients of the disease from Dehradun, 53 from Nainital, 37 from Pithoragarh, 35 from Haridwar, 29 from Pauri, 25 from Udham Singh Nagar, 21 from Chamoli, 13 each from Bageshwar and Tehri, eight from Rudraprayag, six from Almora, five from Champawat and four from Uttarkashi.

Uttarakhand now has 4133 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 1061 active cases is at top of table while with 453 active cases Pauri is now on second position. Haridwar has 406, Nainital 405, Chamoli 278, Udham Singh Nagar 267, Tehri 256, Pithoragarh 215 ,Almora 210, Rudraprayag 196, Uttarkashi 150 and Bageshwar 132 active cases of the disease. With 104 active cases of Covid-19, Champawat is at the bottom of the table.
