Covid-19: Seven deaths, 451 fresh cases reported on Thursday

The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand mounted to 67239 on Thursday with the state health department reporting 451 fresh cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of seven patients from the disease on the day after which the death toll from Covid-19 climbed to 1093 in the state. The authorities discharged 532 patients of the disease from different hospitals of the state after their recovery from the disease on the day. A total of 61432 patients of Covid-19 have so far recovered from the disease in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 91.36 percent.

Two patients of the disease each were reported dead from the Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani and Himalayan hospital, Dehradun on Thursday. One patient of the disease succumbed at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Max hospital, Dehradun and Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun.

The authorities reported 115 fresh cases from Dehradun, 60 from Nainital, 48 from Chamoli, 47 from Rudraprayag, 46 from Pauri, 41 from Almora, 32 from Pithoragarh, 20 from Haridwar, 13 from Udham Singh Nagar, 10 from Bageshwar, nine from Tehri, six from Champawat and four from Uttarkashi on Thursday.

Out of 532 patients discharged on the day, 197 belonged to Pauri, 136 to Dehradun, 45 from Haridwar and 44 from Uttarkashi.

Uttarakhand now has 4156 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 998 active cases is at top of table while with 458 active cases Haridwar now is on second position. Pauri has 422, Nainital 392, Chamoli 330, Tehri 267, Rudraprayag 265, Pithoragarh 244, Udham Singh Nagar 219, Almora 190, Uttarkashi 159 and Bageshwar 125 active cases of the disease. With 87 active cases of Covid-19, Champawat is now at the bottom of the table.
