Covid-19 claims 15 more lives in U’khand

Death toll mounts to 1399; tally reaches to 85269

The contagious Covid-19 is continuing to remain fatal in Uttarakhand. On Friday the state health department reported the death of 15 Covid positive patients which increased the death toll so far from the pandemic in the state to 1399. The department also reported 580 fresh cases of the disease after which the Covid positive tally mounted to 85269. The authorities discharged 547 patients from different hospitals of the state after their recovery on the day. A total of 76770 patients have so far recovered from the disease and the percent recovery from the disease is at 90.03 percent.

Three patients of Covid-19 each were declared dead at the Himalayan hospital Dehradun and Kailash hospital Dehradun on Friday. Similarly two patients each were reported dead at Mahant Indiresh hospital and Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani on the day. One patient each succumbed to the disease at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Velmed hospital Dehradun, Military hospital Haridwar, Military hospital Dehradun and district hospital Udham Singh Nagar on Friday.

The authorities reported 156 new patients of Covid-19 from Dehradun, 127 from Nainital, 73 from Pithoragarh, 52 from Haridwar, 32 from Udham Singh Nagar, 22 from Champawat, 20 each from Chamoli and Uttarkashi, 19 from Bageshwar, 17 from Almora, 13 from Tehri and nine from Rudraprayag on Friday.

Uttarakhand now has 6067 active cases of the disease. Dehradun is at continuing to remain at top of the table of active cases with 1671 cases while with 1089 active cases Nainital is at second spot. Haridwar is at third spot with 477 active cases. Pithoragarh has 475, Chamoli 338, Pauri 334, Almora 334, Tehri 299, Uttarkashi 289, Udham Singh Nagar 251, Bageshwar 185 and Champawat 171 active cases of the disease. With 154 active cases of Covid-19, Rudraprayag is now at the bottom of the table of active cases of Covid-19.
