Cold day conditions warning issued for plains today

A warning has been issued regarding the possibility of cold to severe cold day conditions in one plain district and cold day conditions in parts of the plains on Wednesday. Apart from this, dense to very dense fog is also likely to occur in some parts of the plains especially in two districts.

The State meteorological centre has issued a warning about the possibility of dense to very dense fog likely to occur in some parts of plains especially in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts on Wednesday.  Cold to severe cold day conditions are likely to occur at a few places in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand while cold day conditions are likely to occur at isolated places in Haridwar district and remaining parts in the plains of the State today. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts of the State today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear skies with mist/fog likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 20 degrees Celsius and five degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday were 19.7 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 10.6 degrees Celsius and 3.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 8.9 degrees Celsius and 0.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 11.8 degrees Celsius and 2.8 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
