CM meets members of the bereaved families in Chamoli, assures them of all help possible

In latest Uttarakhand news, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the houses of those who died in the electrocution tragedy that happened on the Namami Gange project site in Chamoli and met the members of the bereaved families. While expressing his condolences, he said that in this hour of profound grief, the State government is standing with them and would do everything possible for it to help them. He looked emotional as he met the relatives of each of the deceased. He further said that a full-fledged investigation would be conducted into the mass electrocution tragedy and stern actions would be taken against those who would be found responsible for it. He said that aside from paying compensation amounts to the next of kin of each of the deceased, the State government would arrange proper treatment of those injured.

During his visit, he also placed wreaths on the mortal remains of the three Home Guard personnel who died due to electrocution at Police Maidan in Gopeshwar.

The State tourism minister Satpal Maharaj, the health minister Dhan Singh Rawat, the State BJP chief Mahendra Bhatt, several MLAs and senior government officials accompanied the CM during his Chamoli visit.
