On arriving in London to woo investors for the upcoming Global Investors’ Summit
slated in December in Dehradun, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was accorded a rousing welcome by the Uttarakhand expats settled in United Kingdom. Not just Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari folk songs and dances were presented but the overseas Uttarakhandis were all found attired in the traditional Uttarakhand dresses. Visibly overwhelmed with the warm welcome, the CM conveyed his gratitude to all the people of Uttarakhand origin settled in London. He said that Uttarakhand, known as the abode of gods, is a rich repository of yogic and spiritual knowledge aside from embodying a hoary- old cultural heritage. He exhorted the NRIs of Uttarakhand origin to make it a point to come to their State at least once a year.
