CHC inaugurated at Halduchaur

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the long-awaited Community Health Centre finally came up at Halduchaur. It was jointly inaugurated by the MLA Mohan Bisht and the former cabinet minister Harish Chandra Durgapal.  While the outpatients department (OPD) would start operating a day after the inauguration, emergency medical facilities would be available to the patients 24x 7.  The State health department recruited two pharmacists, two clerks, one lab technician and five staff aside from four doctors for the centre while some posts had been attached.   Bisht said that the CHC would benefit not just the locals but the people living within the radius of 25 to 30 kms and added that despite shortage of doctors across the state, he had made every effort to start the health centre. He expressed gratitude to the chief minister and the health minister for their role in the matter. He also said that road would be widened to facilitate smooth commute of the patients.  The district chief medical officer Dr Shweta Bhandari said that soon X-ray and ultrasound facilities would be started at this centre and added that  Chandan Diagnostic Centre Haldwani  had been tied up for pathological tests.
