Akshat Ram Darbar pics from Ayodhya being distributed

In latest news from Uttarakhand, with the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya slated on January 22 drawing near, a meeting involving a number of religious organisations was held at Uttarkashi Goswami Ganesh Dutt Vidya Mandir after which a string of events to mark the upcoming consecration was announced. As part of the programme, the pictures of Akshat Ram Darbar brought from Ayodhya would be distribued to every house in the main market from January 1 to 5, said the State president of Rashtriya Hindu Sangh, Thakur Surendra Pal Singh and added that Akhand Ramayana would be organised from January15 to 22   during which recitations from Ramayana would be conducted and bhajans would be sung daily, Besides, khichdi would be served on January 16 and lamps would be lit in every house on January 20.  Plus, a shobha yatra would be taken out on January 22 in which the idol and tableaus of Lord Ram would be displayed following which bhajan kirtan would be organised in the temple. Speaking of the objective of this programme, Singh said that this is meant to deepen people’s devotion and reverence towards Lord Ram and bring peace and happiness in their lives. He urged all to support this programme successful through active participation. Among those present at the meeting included Pushpa Pawar, Chanchal Gumber, Ajay Bahuguna, Ajay Badola and Vijay Bhatt.
