The state’s tableau has been shortlisted for the Republic Day parade to be held on Rajpath in the national capital on January 26. Along with the Badrinath shrine and Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, the Tehri dam and Dobra-Chanthi bridge will also be depicted in Uttarakhand’s tableau selected for this years Republic Day parade. Former Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat in his tweet stated that the tableau will showcase the grandeur and divinity of Badrinath temple, world-famous Tehri dam, Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara and historic Dobra-Chanthi bridge. It is a matter of pride for the State and its people that Uttarakhand’s tableau was chosen among the tableaux from 12 states for the Republic Day parade, opined Rawat.
It is pertinent to mention here that tableaux for the Republic Day parade at Rajpath are chosen based on recommendations of an expert committee. In 2021, the tableau of Uttarakhand based on Kedarkhand had been a part of the Republic Day parade and had won the third position among the tableaux.
