After a few comparatively dry days, light rain and snowfall are forecast in some districts of the state on Wednesday. The State meteorological centre has forecast the possibility of very light to light rain/snowfall at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts on Wednesday. Snowfall is also likely to occur at places situated at altitudes of 3,000 metres and above. The rest of the state is forecast to experience dry weather. The provisional state capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear to partly cloudy sky. Mist/shallow fog are likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Dehradun are expected to be about 21 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places of the state on Tuesday were 21.9 degrees Celsius and 7.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 13.4 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 14.3 degrees Celsius and 3.6 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 15.4 degrees Celsius and five degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
