Dhami, cabinet to pay obeisance in Ayodhya after consecration ceremony

The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and his entire cabinet will pay obeisance at the Ram temple in Ayodhya after the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram gets over on January 22. Dhami made this announcement while  addressing the Ram Rajya Shobha Yatra organised at Parade Ground here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion he said that the long wait of more than 500 years of Ram Bhakts is about to get over. The CM averred that after the sacrifice of thousands of saints and followers of Sanatan Dharma, the dream of a magnificent Ram temple in Ayodhya is getting fulfilled and that all are fortunate to witness this ceremony. 

He said that the path of the construction of Ram temple became clear under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The CM said that Lord Ram is closely associated with Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He said that the Raghunath temple in Devprayag is dedicated to Ram and the sacred Saryu river flows through Bageshwar in Uttarakhand. The river Saryu originates in Uttarakhand and the temple of Ram in Ayodhya is situated on the bank of this river.

 The CM said that the State government has declared a holiday in the educational institutes on January 22 while all the government offices will remain closed till 2.30 pm on the day. Dhami said that the State government had requested the Uttar Pradesh government to allot a plot in Ayodhya for construction of Uttarakhand Sadan there. The UP government has allotted the land and soon a magnificent Uttarakhand Sadan will be constructed there. He said that the people of Uttarakhand are very enthusiastic about the consecration ceremony of Ram temple, sanitation drives in temples and Ghats are underway and Bhajan and Kirtans are being organised everywhere.

The CM said that the consecration of Ram temple is being done at a time when India became the fifth largest economy of the world.

 Cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi, MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, MLAs Khajan Das, Vinod Chamoli, Savita Kapoor, Prant Pracharak of RSS Shailendra, Mahant Raman Goswami, Mahant Krishna Giri Maharaj, State general secretary (Organisation) of BJP Ajaey Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
