About 97,000 seeds of the Indian major carp were released in the Ganga at Ramjhula Ghat, Omkaranang Ghat and Shatrughna Ghat under sponsorship of the National Fisheries Development Board. The Muni Ki Reti-Dhalwala municipality chairman Roshan Raturi, former chairman Shivmurti Kandwal and others were present on the occasion.
A talk was also organised by the Fisheries department during which citizens and devotees on the Ghat were made aware about fish conservation and requested to cooperate with the department in its endeavour. Officials of the Fisheries department, Namami Gange and the municipality were also present on the occasion.
