The state Health department reported 65 new patients of Covid-19 and death of one patient from the disease in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. It also declared 130 patients cured from the disease on the day. The state now has only 589 active cases of the disease.
The department has so far detected 91,462 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 87,145 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 266 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.28 on Wednesday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.82 per cent on the day. The authorities reported the death of one patient from Covid-19 in Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun on Wednesday.
The health department reported 22 new patients from Dehradun, 10 from Champawat and six from Haridwar on Wednesday. The districts of Almora, Nainital, Pithoragarh and Uttarkashi reported one case each of the disease on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 859. Dehradun with 319 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 121 active cases of the disease. Uttarkashi now has come at the bottom of the table with only three active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 9,319 people were vaccinated in 685 sessions in the state held on Wednesday.
