In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Nainital branch of All India Mahila Parishad has started a six-month beautician course aimed at promoting self-employment among unemployed women. Inaugurating the course, the director of DSB campus of Kumaun University, Prof Neeta Bora Sharma said that the course would be instrumental in opening new streams of self-employment for the unemployed whose number has been spiralling. Other speakers dwelt in details on the works being done by the organisation since 1990 in myriad fields of health, medicines, legal education, tailoring and beautician courses among others. They further said that in all, 30 women would be trained during the six-month beautification training course.
