The state health department reported only 48 new cases of Covid-19 and no death from the disease in Uttarakhand on Saturday. The authorities also declared 279 patients cured on the day. The department has so far detected 91,591 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 87,581 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 268 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.62 per cent on Saturday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.71 per cent on the day.
The health department reported 17 new patients from Dehradun, 10 from Haridwar, four each from Almora and Rudraprayag and three each from Champawat, Uttarkashi and Tehri on Saturday. No new patient was detected from Bageshwar, Chamoli and Udham Singh Nagar districts on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 537. Dehradun with 226 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Champawat has 80 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table with five active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 11,443 people were vaccinated in 669 sessions in the state held on Saturday.
