12th National Taekwondo Championship announced by UKSTA

The Uttarakhand Sports Taekwondo Association (UKSTA) announced the 12th National Taekwondo Championship at a press conference held at Hotel Madhuban on Friday. The championship will take place on December 19th and 20th, 2021 at Maharana Pratap Sports College, Raipur. The chairman of UKSTA, Dr. S Farooq informed that the two-day championship will see teams from over 15 states, including Uttarakhand, Haryana, Gujarat, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, Orissa, Maharashtra, Chandigarh, Nagaland, Rajasthan, and Sikkim.

The acting president of UKSTA, Raunak Jain said that the championship is being organised in all weight categories which includes senior, junior, sub-junior and cadets. He further said that the association is planning to organise the 7th International Taekwondo Championship in Uttarakhand as soon as Covid is over and the situation sits well for international events.
