Youth loses 1.53 lakh after clicking fake delivery link

A 21-year-old youth became a victim of cyber fraud after clicking on a fake parcel delivery link. The victim, Ayush Uniyal, from Dehradun received an SMS purportedly related to a parcel delivery. As soon as he clicked the link, Rs 1,53,293 was deducted from his bank credit card.

   Ayush informed his bank and got his card blocked, but by then the money had already been withdraw. On realising that he had been scammed, he approached the Cyber Crime Police Station and filed a complaint. In his complaint, he mentioned that the fraud was planned and appeared to be operated at an international level. He also submitted the suspicious link used in the fraud.

  Based on his complaint police have registered the FIR and started the investigation in this matter. According to him this incident took place on October 22.
