The police found the body of a young man near Ladpur Tiraha in Raipur area of Dehradun on Thursday. The body was lying on Forest department land. According to official sources, syringes, a substance suspected to be smack and other items were found near the body of the man.
The deceased was identified as Kshitij alias Dhruv Rawat (20) a resident of Harrawala area of Dehradun. Police said he was addicted to drugs and often stayed away from home.
The police called the forensic team and did photography and videography of the scene. The body was then sent for post-mortem examination. Officials said there was no suspicion in the death at first sight. The exact cause will be clear after the post-mortem report. Police are talking to the family and investigating all aspects of the case.
