Covid-19 tally moves past 50 K mark in U’khand

503 fresh cases, 12 deaths and 919 recoveries reported on Saturday

The tally of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand crossed Fifty thousand figure mark on Saturday with the state health department reporting 503 fresh cases of the disease. The state now has 50062 patients of the disease. The department reported death of 12 patients on Saturday which increased the death toll from the Covid-19 to 648 in the state. On a positive note 919 patients of the disease were declared cured from the disease.  A total of 41095 patients have so far recovered from the disease. The percentage recovery for Covid-19 patients in the state is 82.09 percent while the infection rate (IR) is at 7.07 percent.

Three patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at Himalayan hospital, Jollygrant on Saturday. Similarly death of two patients each was reported at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and Sushila Tiwari government hospital, Haldwani. One patient each succumbed to the disease at Military hospital Roorkee, HNB base hospital Srinagar, Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun, Ramkrishna mission hospital Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar on the day.

The authorities reported 142 fresh cases of Covid-19 in Dehradun on Saturday. Similarly 99 patients were found in Haridwar, 72 in Tehri, 71 in Nainital, 34 in Uttarkashi, 32 in Udham Singh Nagar, 16 in Pauri, 13 in Bageshwar, 10 in Champawat, seven in Rudraprayag, four in Chamoli and three in Pithoragarh district on the day.  

The authorities discharged 275 patients from Udham Singh Nagar, 257 in Dehradun, 181 from Nainital, 48 from Haridwar,40 from Chamoli, 35 in Almora, 30 from Tehri, 21 from Pauri, 19 from Uttarkashi, eight  from Bageshwar and four from Rudraprayag following their recovery on Saturday.  The state now has 8076 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 2457 active cases is at top of table while Haridwar with 1586 active cases is on second spot. Nainital has 782, Pauri 624, Udham Singh Nagar 505, Uttarkashi 458, Tehri 448, Chamoli 248, Pithoragarh 241, Almora 234, Champawat 225 and Rudraprayag 169 active patients of the disease. With 99 active patients of Covid-19 Bageshwar district is at bottom of the table.
