Ex-CM says allegations of him getting his relatives appointed while in office are baseless

Former chief minister and Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said that he is considering legal action against those spreading false allegations regarding questionable appointments in the Vidhan Sabha during his term as chief minister. He said this while talking to media persons on the sidelines of a cancer awareness programme here on Sunday.

The former Union minister and ex-CM questioned why his name was being taken on some platforms regarding backdoor appointments in the Vidhan Sabha. Nishank said, “It is also being alleged on some social media platforms that I have also employed my relatives in the Vidhan Sabha, which is completely wrong.  Such allegations are being made without factual basis. I will take legal action against those spreading such false allegations,” he said.

Regarding the ongoing controversy regarding alleged recruitment scams in the State, he said that the BJP government in Uttarakhand has been stating from the very beginning that action will be taken against all those who are found to be involved in such scams. “Whether it is our acquaintance or somebody else, no guilty person will be spared in this case,” stressed the former CM.
