Will ensure no scope for irregularity in recruitment examinations: CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the government will ensure that there is no scope of any irregularity in any recruitment examination in the State. In a statement following the cancellation of the graduate level examination of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) on Saturday, the CM said that the decision was taken in the interests of the students. “The decision is based on the report of the investigation commission to ensure that the sanctity, reliability and transparency of examinations in the State is maintained. It is our priority to provide equal and impartial opportunity and a reliable examination system to every student. We have recommended a CBI probe to investigate the paper leak,’’ the CM wrote on social media platform X.

The CM directed the UKSSSC to cancel the graduate level examination on the basis of an interim report of the single member commission headed by Justice (retd) UC Dhyani.  The report was handed over to the CM by Justice Dhyani at the residence of the former on Saturday. 

The CM said that the commission has prepared a report in a short period of time after holding public hearings and listening to the candidates which is appreciable. He said that the State government will examine the report and take a decision in the interest of the students. Dhami said that the government has already recommended a CBI investigation in the case to ensure transparency and clarity.

He said that the State government is committed to ensure sanctity and transparency of recruitment examinations.
