Wildlife Week concludes with a string of programs

To mark the conclusion of Wildlife Week 2025, a rally and prize distribution ceremony was held at the High Altitude Zoological Park under the direction of the director of the park and DFO, Nainital, Akash Gangwar.
In the first session of the programme, the deputy director of the Zoo, Swati flagged off the rally from Pant Park, Mallital, with a message on wildlife conservation. A total of 380 students, teachers and staff from various schools as well as officials and employees from several civic bodies participated. The children- dressed up as various wild animals- held placards with conservation messages written on them to create awareness among the people.
During this event, the winners of various competitions were awarded prizes. Besides, the forest employees who had contributed to wildlife rescue efforts in various forest areas under the Nainital forest division and the wildlife biologist Jignashu Dolia, who is known for his exceptional work in King Cobra conservation, were felicitated on the occasion.
Further, 130 students from various schools under the Nainital forest division were given a free tour of the zoo during the week.
